Do A Slam Dunk!

The New Boston Central School PTA is holding their "Run for Your Life" 5 K Race/Walk and Family Festival again this year!. This year, we are raising money for 2 NEW PORTABLE, ADJUSTABLE Basketball Hoops for children of ALL ages to enjoy on our playground! TheNBCS PTA is proud of both our Parents and Staff Members who ARE this wonderful organization! The parents and staff members come together to put on this fabulous event for the community where people get to support the children of New Boston Central School and enjoy the great outdoors with their friends and family! Our PTA likes to be involved and make a difference....and we accomplish that any way we can! Last year our parents logged over 5000 volunteer hours at the school in either the classroom or during special events or field trips. This year to date, we have 275 plus members in our PTA. We collected over 1900 cans of food in a school wide food drive. We "Went Green" by eliminating "Prizes" for our Fund raisers (we prefer to call them Support Options). Instead we give out gift cards for books or movie passes the children can enjoy with their families! We decreased the amount of paper sent home, as most of our correspondence is done via the web! The PTA held a "School Spirit Walkathon" where the ENTIRE school got to enjoy the beautiful New Hampshire outdoors and EXERCISE!
We sponsor Artist in Residence programs, buy $1000 worth of books for the Library each year, spend $8000 on Curriculum Enrichment programs which includes having authors come speak to the children, send the Sixth Graders in part to Camp Sargent and buy new equipment for the playground.
This is only a small part of what the New Boston Central School PTA is all about!
Come see why we love our town and school so much! Run, Walk or just come play at our Family Festival!
